Brain and Skull

We are glad you have chosen us to evaluate your condition.  Before you meet with our team, there are a few things it would be useful to review.  First, some very basic anatomy.  If you think about the body as an organization, the brain is, well, the “brains” of the outfit.  It is protected by the skull, which is made up of 22 bones (depending on how you count them).  Here is an interactive model which demonstrates how they fit together:

Generally speaking, the skull is best evaluated by a CT Scan.  The brain, on the other hand, is often better evaluated by an MRI.  I will post examples of these soon.

We are building a “choose-your-own-adventure” style experience for our patients.  Please pardon the construction!
